Oh what fun! :)

Friends visiting from out of state; a sudden heavy downpour (a very scary one at that!) that let us discover that our car leaks (yes, our car leaks!!) in more orifices than one; a picnic that had to be cancelled because of the rain and the resultant congregation of people at my place for an inhouse party before completing the evening with the much awaited Yo -Yo Ma concert at the Blossom Music Center.  We had an awesome time yesterday!  And like an excited child who has had an overdose of fun, my overstimulated mind kept me up the whole of last night!
Well, enough of excitement for the weekend! Today I shall retreat to my nest and do what I do best - sleep. Zzzzz....

Honey, did you put my socks away?

Hubs and I had a silly little squabble this morning as to who put his socks away in the laundry basket. I was convinced he did it because I clearly remembered seeing the socks in the basket and thinking "Gosh, I just did the laundry!". He was sure I put them away because he argued that he would not have placed them so neatly at the side (Hmm...that he has a point). But seriously, I do not recall doing such a thing! Well, one of our brains is degenerating and it sure isn't mine! (I think!) ;P

It is truly a wondrous feeling...

... to watch the bunnies bond and play together again.
... to finally have the time to read a book while enjoying a nice hot cup of tea.
... to catch that afternoon nap I haven't done so in a long while.
... to be inspired by my neighbor's piano playing and finally wiping off the dust on my flute case to play a happy tune. (albeit amateur way ;))

It has been a good day and I hope it has been for you too!
Have a lovely weekend, everyone! =)

Today's bits and bobs

* Had my weekly blood test done this morning. My HCG level has plummeted to 38.9 but my gynae wants me to keep getting poked until it goes down to nada. Hopefully next week will be my last.

* To our greatest relief, Chewy is starting to show signs of improvement! *yippeee!* With her head still tilted, she's able to move around the playpen without falling over much today. I am so proud of her! Am now trying to train her to drink from the water dripper so she can be independent again. Looking forward to having my good ol' Chewy back! =)

* Put my newly acquired electric pressure cooker to the test today. The recipe was lemon herb chicken. I first used the browning function before setting it on high pressure for 20 minutes. The verdict: The instructions for the cooker was relatively easy to follow. The meat was really tender and slid easily off the bones. I was, however, shocked to see that my dish had turned into some sort of stew! Am still very new to this so I will have to keep experimenting till I get the proportions right!

* So You Think You Can Dance Season 7: Was surprised to see Robert Rolden at the bottom three at today's results show. He is quite an exceptional dancer and oh sooo cute! Thank goodness he is saved by the judges! Here's a video of his last week's dance to end off this post...

What price would you pay for space?

I covet space and these space saving furniture from Resource Furniture are absolutely fabulous! Now if only the price is just as economical....

For love of tea

I love my tea too much and it was probably one of the hardest thing I had to give up during pregnancy (albeit a short one). While research out there says it is okay to indulge in a cup of coffee/tea per day, we felt it was better to avoid caffeine altogether. So I had all these different flavoured tea in my cupboard and all I could do was stare at them. Anyhoo, now that I am no longer preggy, I'm going at them with a vengeance. It won't be another few months before we start trying to get me fertilised again so I shall indulge while I can!

Cup of tea, anyone? *sips roasted green tea..Ahhhh!*
